Rob rocks Rab
Played on a massive stage in the historic St Christophers Square with a fortress and palms behind us and the blue Adriatic in front of us to a crowd of over 400. We discovered some of the most beautiful coves we’ve ever seen, on a fishing boat trip where we swam to “Jaja Bay” (Egg bay).
Against what we understood, we discovered that Croatia does have golden sandy beaches – a secret of the Kvarner region- 22 of them here on Rab island.
We swooned (if you know what I mean) over soft red Plavac Mali wine made by Franjo Juresa at his vineyards near Barbat, just down the road from the Old Town.And we welcomed Croatia into the EU at midnight on 30 June,
We fell in love with Rab and we hope to be back.
